Why is it that we decide to do the work that we do? What is it that drives us to choose our careers? And why do we often lose passion in our work after a few short years (or even months)? Is it a bad career choice, or are we simply filling our job with too many little, unimportant, and potentially aggravating tasks and responsibilities – responsibilities that sap our energy and cause us to question our life and career choices? And are we simultaneously not giving enough time to the bigger-picture, high-value and high-motivation tasks, activities, projects and passions in our work that could give us the opportunity to truly like (if not love) our jobs and our career? Is there a way for us to get back to the passion and promise we had on Day One?

Randall’s enthusiasm is contagious … He imparts practical, usable information that works on the job and at home.

Randy Dean's (RE-)Awaken the Passion and Energy in Your Work (and Life!) Program is a great program for just about any professional group or association – as well as advanced organizational work teams – dealing with member or staff issues on maintaining passion and motivation, spending too much time on aggravating “busy” work, and not giving enough effort and time on the higher-priority, value enhancing activities that allow people to remain vibrant, effective, and fulfilled in their career and their life.

Delivered in a facilitated format by Randy Dean, The “Totally Obsessed” Time Management/PDA Guy, and based on his book, Major Satisfactors = Major Success: A Unique New Way to Look at How We All Spend, Use, and Waste Our Time, this course is very popular as a breakout and/or keynote session, as well as an internal staff/corporate training (90 minutes up to 3 hours), due to the high level of audience participation, group and partner activities, and individual “introspection” exercises. And, the design and delivery of the course, by its very nature, is “customized” to each particular audience or member group that attends the program.

In a 2006 conference keynote presentation, 71% of the attendees rated the program “Excellent”, and 97% rated the program “Excellent” or “Above Average”, with 100% reporting that the program achieved the stated training goals. Here are some comments from program participants: “Randall’s enthusiasm is contagious … He imparts practical, usable information that works on the job and at home.” “I have nothing profound enough to share that would equate to the value of this program’s common sense approach.” “Randy’s honest belief and knowledge coupled with his energy and enthusiasm provide an excellent learning and re-energizing opportunity.”

As you can see, it is a program that provides not only tangible strategies for work and life task/activity reallocation for greater professional productivity, but it also provides a larger-view message on life and time mastery that reinvigorates and refocuses participants on building a career and leading a life full of personal passion and purpose.

I have nothing profound enough to share that would equate to the value of this program’s common sense approach.
