Randy Dean Announces One-on-One/Small Group E-mail and Office Organization Coaching Services

June 16, 2006  East Lansing, Michigan

Randy Dean, President of Randall Dean Consulting & Training, LLC, today announced two new coaching/consulting services specifically targeted to busy executives: Taming the "E-mail Beast" -- Individual E-mail Account Clean-up and Organization Coaching Services, and Office/Workstation "Clutter-Buster" Coaching Services. Randy has created these new services after receiving queries from many of his course attendees following their attendance at one of his popular programs. As Randy says, "Sometimes people need a 'helping hand' to help them kickstart a reorganization process. For many of us, the idea of actually cleaning up our office and/or our e-mail inbox is a daunting and seemingly impossible challenge. I strongly believe I can not only help people get started on this process -- I can help them achieve a level of control over their e-mail account and the disorganization in their office/workspace created by many project files, unfiled materials, and miscellaneous papers, articles, trade journals, and stuff. I recently read that the average professional spends 16% - 32% of their yearly work hours simply looking for documents and information in their e-mail and on their desk. With proper organization strategies, this time could easily be cut in half or more, creating potentially hundreds of free hours of productivity and sanity! I want my clients to be able to feel the level of control and calm that I feel on a regular basis when working in my e-mail and working in my office (yes, I do practice what I preach -- my first client on these services was myself!) I'd like to help stressed managers and executives ultimately get these areas more under control, and yet more importantly, just help them GET STARTED!"

Here's what the services will entail:

Taming the "E-mail Beast" -- Individual E-mail Account Clean-up and Organization Coaching Services:
I will come into your office or workstation and sit with you one-on-one as we go through each and every e-mail in your inbox and get those e-mails appropriately organized. We will create appropriate project folders within your e-mail account for storing archival e-mails; we will identify those e-mails that are still "active" and require action, and also prioritize those e-mails for appropriate action; and, of course, we will identify those e-mails that no longer need to be retained and "clear them out!" By the time we complete the coaching session, you should feel more in control and on top of your e-mail account than you have in years, and have a much clearer process for handling and appropriately responding to future e-mail messages.

Office/Workstation "Clutter-Buster" Coaching Services:
Similar to the e-mail coaching service, I will come into your office or workstation and sit with you one-on-one as we go through all of the piles of "stuff" in your office and get those papers, files, articles, reports, voice mails, and everything else appropriately organized. We will create appropriate hard-copy file and folder systems to help you get clearly organized, as well as identify those items that are still "active" or "urgent" and thus requiring continuing action, and get those items prioritized for appropriate action. The goal of the session is to get your work area fully organized, and train the individual systems and techniques that will help that person KEEP their workstation organized, efficient, and highly productive over the long-term.

Timing: Typically, both coaching services for most professionals will take anywhere from a half day to two-three full days, depending on your personal beginning point. I would personally recommend utilizing the "E-mail Beast" coaching services first, as one of the nice outcomes from this service is a "platform" for your broader office filing organization systems. Follow-up in-person and virtual (phone/e-mail) coaching will be provided if and as needed.
