Randy Dean Leads Several Sessions of His Popular Taming the E-mail Beast Course

October 19, 2006  Chicago, Dearborn (Detroit), Ann Arbor, Port Huron

Randy Dean, President of Randall Dean Consulting & Training, LLC, recently completed four different training courses and speaking events for several different organizations, including three separate sessions of his popular "Taming the E-mail Beast: Managing the Mess of Email and Info Overload" course.

The first course took place October 11, at the University of Michigan School of Engineering, for their administrative and professional staff. 100% of the course attendees rated the course both valuable for their work and immediately useful, with 90% giving the program a "top box" rating. A couple comments from course attendees: "Randy is a great speaker. He feels passionate about what he is talking about -- he definitely kept my interest!" "This exceeded my expectations. I'm so glad I attended. Thanks for the College of Engineering for making this available to us!" "Following this program I went back to my desk and cleaned my e-mail inbox. I went from 3,800 messages to 3. What a great feeling!" This was the three-hour version of the course, which not only covers e-mail, but also how to handle and manage the other sources of information overload, including voice mails, "snail" mail, faxes, articles to read, reports to review, and even unexpected interruptions.

The other e-mail courses were Randy's one-hour version of the program, where he primarily focuses on strategies for managing your personal and professional e-mail accounts. On October 12, he led a program for the Port Huron Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. On October 18, he led a session for the Chicago Michigan State University Alumni Networking Club at the UBS Tower in downtown Chicago, for an audience of about 50 professionals. 100% of the audience rated the program "Top Two Box", with many "Excellent" ratings. A couple comments: "I most liked the discussion on the 3-minute rule. This will help me get rid of 60% of my inbox." "Solid program. Well organized and very useful. Lots of good tricks and tips." "I most liked the very practical solutions, as well as Randy's energy level."

The final course Randy led was his "Finding An Extra Hour Every Day" program, which he led on October 19th as a breakout session for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education's Annual Solo and Small Firm Institute, for an audience of approximately 75-80 people. Members of the ICLE staff that attended the session were very pleased with both the sheer number of great time-saving suggestions, and the fun and energy of the speaker.

Randy will be leading several more sessions of his "Taming the E-mail Beast" course in coming weeks. For more information on two sessions being held in the Lansing area on November 2, please click here.
